The VP- Finance & Accounting Department will responsible for Financial Controller which duty will accountable for the corporate budgeting, internal control, accounting analysis, and accounting operations and reporting of the company to ensure that it will comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. Also, this position will responsible for Corporate Treasury such as cash management, investment (exclude investment in Equity Trading), and risk management. Additional duties as directed by First Vice President -Finance & Accounting Department and Chief Financial Officer. The basic summary of job responsibilities are listed below. Moreover, this position will responsible for Investor Relation such as communicate with investors, monitoring financial performance, update document for investor meeting and manage disclosure document in accordance with SET and SEC requirements.
1. Financial Controller duty
- Oversee the accounting operations of corporation, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures. Issue timely and complete financial statements which comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. The Financial Report will then be presented to the Audit Committee, Board of Director, Shareholders, and Investors.
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the quarterly and annual audit. Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings (when the company is publicly held, then will add a requirement to be responsible for the filing of quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission).
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecast. Provide financial analysis and feasibility study as need. Also provide for a system of management cost/budget control in order to minimize risk.
2. Corporate Treasury (Investment) Duty
- Generate cash flow forecast/position, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment, including propose investment for available funds (maximize return with acceptable risk; match maturity and duration with uses of funds, based on frame work approved by the Board of Director).
- Coordinate with banks in negotiating for rates and deal structures. Evaluate alternative long-term borrowing strategies and make recommendations in accordance with the capital structure guidelines. Maintain Banking and Credit Rating Agency relationship.
- Analyze risk exposure of Business and propose the mitigation method. Coordinate with Risk Management Department and generate Treasury Risk Management Plan.
- Perform portfolio analysis and management and make a report.
3. Investor Relation Duty
- To communicate with investors known business and increasing company credits.
- Develops and monitors financial performance for the investor relations function.
- To update documents needed to provide best information to investors for Analyst meeting and Opportunity day meeting.
- To serve across all the business functions: Work with other departments where necessary.
4. SET and SEC Duty
- Understand SET and SEC regulations regarding procedure information disclosure and other requirements
- Manage company disclosure information, business performance reports, financial reports, IR contents and materials in accordance with SET and SEC requirements.
5. Other duty
- Understand and ready to support the adoption of the digital transformation within DMT, for example the development the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) , Artificial Intelligence(AI) or Gen-AI.
